The Formula One racing events started with the European GP Motor Racing of the 1920s and 1930s. The "formula"
is a set of rules which all participants' cars must obey. F1 was a new formula agreed after WWII in 1946, with the
first non-championship events in the same year.

F1 Car Racing History:

The first world championship race was held at Silverstone in UK during 1950. A event for constructors started
in 1958. National championships started in South Africa and the United Kingdom in the 1960s and 1970s.

Non-championship F1 races were held for many years but, because of increasing cost of competition, the last
of these races were held in 1983.

The FIA make the rules to minimize the spiralling costs of F1 racing (which is bad for small teams) and for
keeping Formula One as safe as possible, especially after the deaths of Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger
in 1994. FIA has decided a number of rule revisions, including lowering on downforce, new tyre restrictions and
multi-race engines.
